PRIMA Moda Tessuto returns, jointly with Pitti Filati,
with the fall/winter 2012-13 fabric collections
in advance of the international trade fair program
Preparations are under way for the 5th edition of PRIMA Moda
Tessuto, the international trade fair promoted and organized by Pratotrade – the
consortium of textile producers from Prato - in collaboration and synergism with Pitti
Immagine Filati, scheduled at the Fortezza da Basso from July 5 to 7, 2011.
The focus will be the fall/winter 2012-13 fabric collections of the most
representative brands of textile excellence, not only from the Prato district, but also
from northern Italy and abroad.
"PRIMA offers the clientele an innovative, high quality product, at the right time for the market, and the July scheduling gives it a good margin of anticipation with
respect to the regular trade fairs scheduled in September" says the President of
Pratotrade, Alessandro Benelli.
Already in July, the operators in the sector, selected and invited to the event, will
thus be able to view a complete range of ideas and a preview of the collections
designed for the fashion market, according to the trends predicted by the creative
genius of Li Edelkoort, who is cooperating with Pratotrade again for this season. "For
many years we have counted on the professional services of Li Edelkoort and her
Trend Union staff, and for this edition she also contributes the new advertising logo
of the 5th edition of PRIMA Moda Tessuto, a highly expressive hybrid image" comments
Benelli.
"Hybrids" is the theme for this season proposed by the internationally famous trend
forecaster to the members and exhibitors at PRIMA as the source of inspiration for the
realization of their fabric collections for fall/winter 2012-13. It is a case of fashion
exalting fabrics, with trends that announce a fertile, creative period for textiles!
Woven fabrics in search of change through the weaving and most advanced technology,
density and lightness, decorations and modern chic. Strong duality with contrasting
styles for the fashion of the coming winter seasons.
From the logistics viewpoint, the location of the event in the Cavedio Area of the
lower floor on the main building will be proposed again, as so many clients
appreciated it in the past edition in January, for the vicinity to the yarn producers.
"The joint presentation with Pitti Filati is favorably received by the clientele." emphasized Benelli "The good results obtained in the previous editions, especially for
the high quality of the buyers and visitors, rewards our strategy of combining the
presentation of the fabrics with that of the yarns".
Awaiting the seasonal debut of the collections on the international markets, among the
textile producers of Prato there is an air of cautious optimism, encouraged by the early
data on production for the first quarter 2011, which are positive compared to those of
the same period a year ago.
"The companies that participate in PRIMA – concludes Benelli – invest in their
business and their products, in the conviction that there can still be a future for the
textile sector".
